Land, water and scuba diving excursion centre

Our boats:

Our fleet consists of five vessels:

  • Fortuna means “Good luck” in Italian. But don’t take it too literally in English, where it can be misinterpreted as “For the tuna”! This boat is 10.4 metres long, equipped with a 250 HP Suzuki engine, and can accommodate 10 divers or 22 excursionists (plus crew).
  • I-Tunas is a playful nod to the Fortuna: it’s the 2.0 version. It offers the same onboard comfort but with dual engines. This boat is also 10.4 metres long, equipped with two 150 HP Suzuki engines, and can accommodate 10 divers or 22 excursionists (plus crew).
  • Tsarariaka means “Good wave” in Malagasy. Let yourself be gently rocked by the smooth sailing of this boat. It is 10.4 metres long, equipped with a 200 HP Suzuki engine, and can accommodate 22 excursionists (plus crew).
  • Tsaradia also means “Good luck,” but in Malagasy this time. This is our small vessel that makes two daily trips between our private beach on Sakatia and the Corail Noir hotel. During these crossings, you might have the “tsaradia” to spot humpback dolphins, which frequently swim between Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Be. This boat is 10.4 metres long, equipped with a 40 HP Suzuki engine, and can accommodate 10 passengers (plus crew).
  • Clovis has kept its original name from when we purchased it. It is mainly used as a fishing boat, but during the high season, it can be converted into a diving boat. It is 10.4 metres long, equipped with two 150 HP Suzuki engines, and can accommodate 10 divers or 5 fishers (plus crew).

All our boats are equipped with GPS depth finders, first aid kits, and for the diving vessels, full oxygen therapy equipment.

Our equipment:

In 2024, we made a significant investment: the purchase of two BAUER HP compressors, an NRC BP membrane compressor, and a large quantity of MARES equipment.

Our cylinder collection consists of 99 steel tanks, ranging from 10 to 15 litres. Of course, we have adapters for each tank, allowing you to choose between a DIN or Yoke regulator. Some 12-litre and 15-litre tanks are equipped with dual outlets. The tanks are inspected annually and filled with the pure air of Nosy Be. This pure air can be enriched with our membrane compressor to provide Nitrox between 30% and 32%. You will have the option to dive on air or Nitrox during your stay with us, all at a very reasonable rate.

As for diving equipment, we are equipped with the Mares Rover range. We offer 3mm long wetsuits from size 4XS to 4XL, BCDs from size 2XS to XL, fins from size 34-35 to 46-47, as well as regulators, masks, snorkels, lights, dive computers, and buoys for snorkelling.

Diving logistics:

Every morning, departure at 8.00 am, we board directly from the resort’s beach, heading for the first dive site. During explorations, an instructor supervises a maximum of 5 divers in their group. Before the second dive, we will do a minimum of one hour’s surface interval. Depending on the season, we will use this time not only to desaturate, but also to look for what the sea has to offer (dolphins, whales and whale sharks).
We’ll be back for lunch, and then you’re free to do whatever you like for the afternoon: land-based actives , relax, or even a night dive.

Depending on the season, the participants’ level of experience, and the tide conditions, we select the two best spots each day from our twenty available sites. Whether it’s steep drop-offs teeming with gorgonians, coral plateaus rich in life, wrecks home to a myriad of fish, or even a small cave, Nosy Be is a must-visit for scuba diving enthusiasts and photographers alike.

We provide high-quality diving equipment for those who prefer not to bring their own. You can choose between an “Equipped Diver” or “Non-Equipped Diver” package. We use the MARES ROVER range. Enjoy all the necessary gear to explore the seabed. We also offer dive computer rentals to ensure a safe and enriching diving experience. Dive with us and discover the underwater wonders of Nosy Be!
