Our water sports center is an integral part of the AMANTA hotel group, which promotes a more virtuous form of tourism for nature and mankind.
Like the Corail Noir hotel in which it is integrated, the Aqua Diving water sports center is committed to preserving the environment.
We take care to limit all our waste, particularly plastic and/or single-use waste (bottles, cups, bags, straws, etc.). In our centre, you can quench your thirst with filtered water while limiting plastic pollution.
Our instructors and staff are aware of the litter found on the beaches and underwater: we collect it. Don’t hesitate to take part in these small gestures that count: give the rubbish collected to your instructor or borrow a bag to collect your own rubbish.
Smoking is prohibited inside our centre. Cigarette butts are strictly collected so that none are thrown on land or into the sea. Please use our ashtrays to ensure that they do not end up in the environment.
We offer you to continue your scuba diving training with SSI specialties: buoyancy, marine ecology, fish recognition, shark ecology, manta ray ecology, turtle ecology, coral identification…
Discover SSI training courses in ecology and contact us to access these exciting courses. These are the skills that enable us to improve our knowledge and our underwater encounters: follow us on social networks to see some of our underwater videos.
We report illegal or inappropriate behaviour to the relevant authorities, and raise awareness of environmental issues with other nearby water sports operators.
Help us respect our unique environment during your dives by adopting the SSI Responsible Diver Code:
A little something extra on your return from the dive:
We also value the fauna and flora on land! When you return from your dive, feel free to explore our garden and discover the terrestrial flora and fauna by exploring our botanical trail
We are delighted to be working with the Madagascar Whale Shark Project, anassociation dedicated to protecting marine mammals and whale sharks in Madagascar. This partnership marks an important step in our efforts to promote a sustainable and respectful approach to marine ecotourism.
Since February 2024, Madagascan legislation has changed, making it compulsory for all nautical service providers to be trained to ensure respectful observation of marine mammals and whale sharks. This initiative aims to protect these vulnerable species while offering visitors a safe and rewarding experience. Our teams have been trained (sailors, guides and instructors) to acquire theoretical and practical skills in good observation practice and first aid.
Boat propellers are a major hazard for marine species, but also for swimmers. Unfortunately, all over the world, propeller marks have been found on dolphins, whales and whale sharks.
The Approach Charter drawn up by MWSP makes it possible to minimise the negative impact of tourism on species while improving visitor satisfaction.
By working with the Madagascar Whale Shark Project, we hope to raise awareness of the need to protect our precious marine wildlife and promote sustainable practices throughout the region.
We are aware of the need to save water and energy, and take care not to leave equipment on standby or plugged in unnecessarily (diving lights in particular), and to limit the waste of water, etc.
Our establishment has photovoltaic panels that provide 25% of our electricity needs.
The cleaning of our centre is carried out using natural products that are not harmful to the environment (white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and black soap).
We only use environmentally-friendly sun creams. Wear long sleeves and/or choose your sun protection carefully so that it does not harm the reefs.
