Try Scuba Diving

  • The SSI Try Scuba programme is perfect for discovering diving for the first time. Dive in shallow waters and observe marine life under the careful supervision of your personal instructor (1 diver = 1 instructor).

Basic Diver

  • Maximum depth: 12 m
  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • Explore slightly deeper depths of the Indian Ocean, while accompanied by your personal instructor who will ensure your underwater adventure is safe and enjoyable.

Scuba Diver

  • Duration: 2 days
  • Maximum depth: 12 m
  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • As an SSI Scuba Diver, you will learn to dive to a depth of 12 m, under the direct supervision of an SSI professional. This is your first step towards Open Water Diver certification.

Open Water Diver

  • Duration: 5 days
  • Maximum depth: 18 m (limited to 12 m for under-13s)
  • This internationally recognised certification programme is the best way to start your adventure as a certified diver. Theoretical e-learning training is combined with practical sessions to ensure you develop the skills you need to be comfortable underwater. You’ll obtain SSI Open Water Diver certification. We aim to keep group sizes as small as possible to allow each diver to progress at their own pace. Generally, and especially for the first few sessions, there will be two divers per group.

Specialties

Continue your diving holiday by acquiring the skills and experience you need to explore the world’s best dive sites, thanks to SSI’s continuing education programmes. By completing a number of specialties, you’ll automatically earn the SSI Specialty Diver, SSI Advanced Open Water Diver, and SSI Master Diver certifications. These certifications testify to your competence and form a solid basis for your future adventures. If you’re not sure which speciality is right for you, opt for the Advanced Adventurer programme and try out your favourites!

  • Specialty Diver: 2 specialities + 12 logged dives
  • Advanced Open Water Diver: 4 specialities + 24 logged dives
  • Master Diver: 4 specialities + Stress & Rescue + 50 logged dives

The SSI Advanced Adventurer course gives you an overview of the different SSI specialities we offer.

  • Rescue Diver : Learn to protect yourself and others, to prevent and manage emergency situations with confidence.
  • Dive Guide : For confident divers who want to guide family and friends on dives.

Dive programmes:

  • Enriched Air Nitrox Level 1 (32%) & 2 (40%) : Dive safely for longer with enriched air/Nitrox. Duration: 1/2 day (1 dive)
  • Deep Diving : Dive safely to depths of up to 40m. Duration: 2 days (3 dives)
  • Perfect Buoyancy : Master your buoyancy for optimal control. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Night Diving & Limited Visibility : Discover nocturnal marine life and dive in low visibility. Duration: 1/2 day (2 dives)
  • Wreck Diving : Learn to dive wrecks without penetration in complete safety. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Stress & Rescue : Manage emergency situations and become a better buddy. Duration: 3 days (6 dives)
  • React Right : Training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Duration: 1 day (no dive)
  • Computer Diving : Familiarise yourself with the use of a dive computer. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Navigation : Learn how to orient yourself underwater. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Boat Diving : Dive from different types of boats. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Waves, Tides & Currents : Dive safely in dynamic environments. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Photo & Video : Learn underwater photography and video techniques. Duration: 1 day (2 dives)
  • Science of Diving : Understand the underwater world and its effects on the human body. Duration: online programme
