At Aqua Diving Madagascar, safety isn’t just a motto—it’s part of our DNA. That’s why we’re proud to announce that Moana and Simone are now certified DAN instructors!
The training took place right here at our dive center in Nosy Be, led by Megan, a DAN trainer who traveled to Madagascar especially for this course. The goal? To teach life-saving first aid skills tailored to diving situations.
To make the experience as practical as possible, our entire Aqua Diving team volunteered as students. This allowed Moana and Simone to teach real participants while our team got a much-needed first aid refresh—a true win-win!
With their new certification, Moana and Simone are qualified to lead three internationally recognized DAN courses, open to divers and non-divers alike:
Learn how to respond confidently and effectively during emergencies while waiting for professional help. Topics include:
One- and two-person CPR for adults, children, and infants
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
Managing bleeding, choking, and shock
Secondary assessment and immobilization
Responding to medical emergencies
Essential for every diver—and anyone who wants to be ready to save lives.
Oxygen administration is the top priority in case of a diving accident like decompression sickness (DCS). This course teaches:
When and how to provide emergency oxygen
Recognizing signs of DCS
How to respond quickly and safely
Note: A current CPR and first aid certification (such as DAN BLS) is required for this course.
