The issue of drinking water in Madagascar and its environmental impact

Managing potable water in Madagascar is a complex challenge, and the tourism industry exacerbates the situation by consuming a massive amount of plastic bottles, which are rarely recycled. This has a considerable impact on the environment, and we believe it is time to act.

Our solution: taking a step towards a sustainable future

To tackle this issue, we have decided to say “NO” to plastic bottles. Partnering with GAIA Madagascar, we have installed an advanced water filtration system that provides our guests with fresh, clean, and pure water, all while eliminating the need for plastic bottles.

How does our water filtration system work?

• Advanced Filtration Technology: The system includes three levels of filtration:
  1. Pre-filtration: The first filter removes suspended particles and impurities.
  2. UV Disinfection: This stage neutralizes viruses and bacteria, providing clean and odor-free water.
  3. Reverse Osmosis: This technology removes any remaining chemicals like nitrates, offering water of the highest quality, free from bad taste or odors.

The filtered water is available at our two bars, where you can help yourself to as much fresh, filtered water as you like, using reusable bottles.
